I'm going on vacation this Tuesday (September 1st) through September 8th so I will be taking a little break. I'll be back though, overwhelmed I'm sure with music news, album art and lots more. See you in a week!

Another Album Art Update

Another album art update! Do I need to apologize? I don't think so. I love this stuff so I'm just going to keep going. With the exception of the Preston artwork (from Covermania), everything comes from Coverlandia. 27 year old Samuel Dylan Murray Preston AKA Preston is HOT. Just check out this interview he recently did with Popjustice. Skinny, tattoos, funky haircut - what's not to love? Oh.

HOT SONG ALERT: Alexandra Burke feat. Flo-Rida - Bad Boys

I've been excited about hearing new Alexandra Burke music since after I heard her rendition of "Hallelujah." Wow. It has been well worth the wait, let me tell you that! I've only even heard a clip of the song and I'm already salivating at the thought of the full length release, music video, album/single artwork...this girl has super star potential written all over.

    "Bad Boys" (out

HOT SONG ALERT: The Saturdays - Forever Is Over

Wow! UK girl group The Saturdays are working HARD to keep the momentum going over in the UK, releasing a new single AND album just months after releasing their final single off of Chasing Lights. The debut album from the girls offered 4 top 10 singles ("If This Is Love" - #8, "Up" - #5, "Issues" - #4, "Just Can't Get Enough" - #2)! Their lowest charting single, "Work" peaked at #22. Not bad at

HOT SOUNDTRACK ALERT: FAME

I TOTALLY forgot that the soundtrack for the FAME 2009 remake was released on Tuesday. OOPS! I have been loving the remixes for star, Naturi Naughton's version of the title track so chances are that I'm going to LOVE this soundtrack. You can get it on iTunes now or in stores. Oh...you can also get the full length club mixes and the radio edits on iTunes of "Fame." Check those out now! I love

Amy Studt Cancels Trip/Move to the USA & Stays in the UK

Boo. I'm a little bummed to hear that UK singer, Amy Studt, will be staying in the UK. Back in July Amy blogged about plans to move to New York, after a successful stay in the Big Apple this past year. Well...plans have seemingly changed. According to Amy's last blog on August 19th, she's staying across the pond for the time being. Photo by Andy Fallon via MySpaceStudt blogs about moving to a

To Rock or Not To Rock: Should I Go To the Perez Hilton Presents Tour 2009?

ARG. No money! Too many other expenses. As a self diagnosed "Fool_4_Music" I love going to see a live gig WHENEVER I can. Just saw the Noisettes, going to see Kylie Minogue in October, Ray LaMontagne and Girl Talk in November... My predicament is DO I GO and see the Perez Hilton Presents Tour 2009? I'm very tempted. Performing at the House of Blues in Boston on September 14th we have: Ladyhawke,

HOT SONG ALERT: The Fray - Heartless

I know I'm a bit late here...but this version of the song is so...pretty. I love it! I quite enjoy The Fray, and I quite enjoy the original Kanye West version. "Heartless" is quite the cover-worthy song apparently - Kris Allen did it on Idol as well (which I also loved).

Check out The Fray on the web:

Calvin Harris & The HUMANTHESIZER

I heart the new Calvin Harris single, "Ready For The Weekend." With guest vocals by the brilliant Mary Pearce, a cool video, sweet single artwork...how could the second single off of Calvin Harris's new album get any better? Enter the HUMANTHESIZER. Harris teamed up with Sony Music UK and Bare Conductive Body Ink to create this AWESOME live performance of the new single with the world's first

Album Artwork Update

AHHH. More album artwork. Yay! Ironically enough, I just removed all of the artwork from my iPod as I needed to free up some space. Most of the artwork from this update comes to us from Coverlandia. The Bublé artwork comes directly from the artist's website, while other artwork comes to me from Cover-Mania. Enjoy!Yummy. Michael Bublé's new album artwork has been unveiled and I love it. A nice pop

Missing Aaliyah

Aaliyah Dana Haughton1979 - 2001 Aaliyah Dana Haughton was as talented as she was beautiful and her tragic death at 22 in a plane crash is no less sad today than it was back on August 25th, 2001. When her self-titled album was released in July, I promptly snatched it up and played it over and over again. I listened to that album non-stop for quite sometime and even more so after her death. Even

My Weekly Last FM Chart

Massive Album Art Update!

BIG FAT album artwork right now. Some good...some questionable...oh and per usual, most of it is comes from Coverlandia.Oh Peter Andre. You're so God-damn cute! Following him on Twitter, I'm struck by how loving he is. He loves those kids of his and its just so damn precious. With all of the drama going on in his life right now I wish him all the best. That being said...the album cover l0oks very

Billboard Dance/Club Play Chart - August 20, 2009

Congrats to the new princess of dance...Kaci Battaglia (formerly known as Kaci). She moves up one spot into the top spot on the dance chart. She's had some club chart success in the UK but not a WHOLE lot here in the states. I was hoping she'd have a bit more mainstream success but I'll take what I can get. It appears that Sean Kingston has plateaued at # 3 and Simply Red moves down one spot to

Not Wild About Natalie Imbruglia's 'Wild About It'

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I'm a bit disappointed to be honest. I think that this is just some promotional video to get us all excited about Natalie Imbruglia's upcoming new album and single "Want." To get us "wild about it" if you will. I'm much more excited for the single, based on clips that I've heard. This song is kind of...BLAH in my opinion. What do you all think? Excited for

HOT VIDEO ALERT - Dolly Rockers - Gold Digger

I know I've blogged about this before...but I don't care. I am in love with this jam all over again. I just bought a remix promo on Ebay. It includes the Bimbo Jones mixes, Superbass mixes as well as the radio edit. AWESOME. I'm thrilled.

HOT REMIX ALERT - Paloma Faith - New York (Cutmore Video Remix)

Remix of the brilliant Paloma Faith single, "New York." This is actually my favorite mix of the bunch...probably because it's more dance radio friendly. There are more vocals too, which I've said is key for me. I want to hear the actual song and melody. Tom Middleton's version isn't bad. Starsmith is alright as well, but not much different from the original. OH - BTW. I was in a bidding war

HOT REMIX ALERT - Wale Feat Lady Gaga - Chillin (Lee Dagger Remix Edit)

I am LOVING this remix right now. It's FIRE. Wideboys is my next favorite, followed by Bimbo Jones in last. Lee Dagger nailed this. Looking forward to seeing this promo hit the Ebay shelves.1. New V.V. Brown 'Game Over' Video!

As I mentioned in a previous post, the new V.V. Brown video has been announced and it's her song "Game Over." Well...the video has been released as well. I found it out over on Popjustice. I must agree with their blog headline...it is a rather unfortuneate title for a single. I happen to love the song and V.V. looks amazing in the video. Let me know what you think about the new single, her

HOT Talent Alert! Jay-J, Bradley Say & Christian Burns

While music usually speaks for itself, having a pretty instrument can't hurt. Here are three artists that I've just been introduced to, thanks to ArjanWrites and one of my new favorite blogs, EQ. These guys are as talented as they are attractive. Check them out below!

Jay-J - This Belgian-born electro-pop star got his start on a MTV Belgium reality show called "The Project," which was

V.V. Brown To Hit America January 2010 + New Single & Remixes

First bit of news...V.V. Brown has signed to Capitol Records (home to Lily Allen) in the U.S. and will release her debut album in January 2010! BRILLIANT! The press release goes on to say that Brown will make her way to the States in the new year. This is great news! I look forward to seeing her perform live.Now...onto the new V.V. Brown single, which is awesome news in and of itself. I've been

Róisín Murphy Defends Herself and Talks New Music

I've never been one to shy away from artists with similar vibes, which is why recent comments from Irish electro-pop artist (and former member of Moloko) Róisín Murphy, ceased to bother me. When I first read the reports that Róisín Murphy was going on the offensive, claiming that Lady Gaga stole her look...it all sounded to me like it was taken out of context. Claiming that Murphy said "Lady Gaga

Indie Artists You Should Know...Ace Noface

Lately, because of my blog, I've been fortunate enough to listen to new music from tons of independent artists. While my preferences generally lean more towards top 40 and dance/electronica music, this doesn't mean that I close myself off to all types of music. I plan on spotlighting 1 - 2 indie artists per week that either inspire me because of their music, or inspire me because of their story.

My Weekly Last FM Chart

In following with last weeks format, I'll be doing my top 10 listened to artists of the past week, according to my Last FM Chart. Since I work at a desk job, music is really what keeps me going day-to-day. Here are the artists that kept me going this past week. Most Listened To Artists:1. Noisettes2. Erika Jayne3. Calvin Harris4. Roisin Murphy5. Straight No Chaser6. The Saturdays 7. Natasha

Billboard Dance/Club Play Chart - August 13, 2009

Not too much movement in the Top 10 this past week. Most artists moved either one or two spots up. The Paradiso Girls dropped from 3 to 10, as did the The Pussycat Dolls, but that was to be expected as they were in the #1 spot last week. Bubbling under the Top 10 are some exciting artists including La Roux (Bulletproof - #11), Jonas Brothers (Paranoid - #21), and the Noisettes (Don't Upset The

Musical Snippets - Annie, Britney Spears, Guy Sebastian, Lady Gaga & More!

Britney Spears - "Unusual You": Britney Spears...I'm over "Radar" and ready for a new single...and with that said, I'm hoping and praying this rumor is true. On The Prophet the other day I saw a report that "Unusual You" will be the fifth single off of Circus. The Bloodshy & Avant track has always been one of my favorites...in fact...I voted for it when Brit's website gave her fans the chance to

Aubrey O'Day - Party All The Time

For a while now, former Danity Kane member Aubrey O'Day has been talking about the electro pop sound she plans on bringing to her first solo record. Up until now, it's just been talk. Well, now we finally have something to sink our teeth into! Aubrey O'Day and producer Maestro (Lil Wayne, The Game, Ice Cube) have created a electro-pop masterpiece...or re-created I should say.

Album Review: Erika Jayne - Pretty Mess

Dance music is my thing. Whether it be a remix of a pop song or an original production...if it has that steady dance beat that gives me a certain swagger walkin' down the street - you know it's doing what it's supposed to. I'm by no means a club kid. In fact, I avoid the clubs like the plague. Don't get me wrong...I love dancing, but not in a club environment. This might be confusing to some,

New Album Art Wednesday!

You know me and album artwork by now. I'm obsessed with it. Need to have it. Here's a bunch of new stuff for you to scope out. Thanks mostly to Coverlandia. Much to my surprise, iTunes was selling remixes for the new Blake Lewis single "Sad Song" this Tuesday. Featuring remixes by Jason Nevins, Pilotpriest, and Craig C, this is a pretty hot collection. It also features new album art with Blake

Concert Review - Noisettes

So - as you know, I went to go see the Noisettes yesterday. I went alone and survived. It was a little awkward. I suppose that I could have made more of an attempt to mingle, but let's be honest...I was there for the music and it was a Monday night. I'm plenty social, but I at least need to know one person.

I arrived at Great Scott at a little after 9:00 PM with no opening act to be seen.

Impromptu Noisettes Concert!

I was reading the Metro on the way into work this morning...and what should I see? "Noisettes: Shiny Happy People." WHAT? Noisettes? In the Metro? Are they in town? Yes they are and they are playing at Allston Bar/Club Great Scott for $10.00! How awesome is that? I of course checked around to see if anyone wanted to go with me, but a Monday night out is a bit of a tough sell, so it looks like

My Weekly Last FM Chart

So, since I rarely listen to the same track more than...2 - 3 times on average. Sure...there are the occasional tracks that really grab a hold of me (i.e. - "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)," "Je Suis Une Dolly") but for the most part I like to change things up. With that being said, I'm going to just post my top listened to artists each week. Perhaps I'll do top listened to tracks once a

Music Video Update: Sugababes, Shakira, Gossip, Little Boots & More!

I've been really out of touch regarding my music videos lately, so here's a massive update.

Sugababes - Get Sexy: You've heard me raving about the single, now it's time for me to rave about the video. The girls all look hot and I love the set they are dancing around in. There's definitely some cool visuals going on here and while there's no story line per say, there's definitely plenty to

Musical Snippets - New Robbie Williams, Natasha Bedingield, Natalie Imbruglia & More!

Wow. Lots of little updates to go over spanning all genres of music. Let's see...where to start...Robbie Williams - Back With A New Album: Finally! The hottest hunk from the UK music scene is back with new material. The album, called Reality Killed The Video Star is out November 9th, preceded by the first single, "Bodies" which comes out on October 12th. It sounds like Robbie Williams is ditching

Album Review: Jordin Sparks - Battlefield

Congratulations Jordin Sparks. You made a second album that doesn't suck. I guess I should congratulate you on making it to album #2 without being dropped by your label, as is what sadly happens to so many American Idol alums. When I purchased Sparks' self-titled first album I was buying it because of her strong vocals, personality and lead single "Tattoo." Jordin's Idol single, "This Is My

Loads of New Album & Single Artwork!

Massive album artwork update here. Per usual, most of the artwork came from Coverlandia and Covermania. Enjoy! As I mentioned in a previous post, I'm looking forward to reviewing the debut album, Pretty Mess, from dance music artist, Erika Jayne. Her album is due out August 11th (this Tuesday) and features her #1 dance hits "Rollercoaster," "Stars" and "Give You Everything." Jayne recorded the

Billboard Dance/Club Play Chart - August 6, 2009

I've been so out of it after work this past week, so my blog posts have become less frequent. I need to get myself some more energy! Perhaps I should go to the gym...I am after all paying for a membership. ANYWAY...here's this past weeks Billboard Dance/Club Play Chart. Last week's #1, Erika Jayne's "Give You Everything" drops down to #8 leaving the #1 spot to the Pussycat Dolls. Sweet! I'm also

New Album Art Tuesday!

While some might think that album art today as nothing more than iPod-sized squares, 100 pixels by 100 pixels each (which Hard-Fi alluded to with their last album artwork campaign) - for me, album (and single) sleeve artwork is one of the reasons why I still buy physical CDs. Here are some favorites that have come out over the past couple of weeks. Frankmusik - Complete Me (Out Now)While the

Biting Off More Than I Can Chew...

Well...I had this grand plan to blog all weekend. Didn't happen! I don't really have any excuse I guess. The writing bug just didn't bite! This week I hope to get to all of the things I planned to get to this weekend. Stay tuned!

My Weekly Last FM Chart

These are my most listened to artists and songs of the past week - according to Last FM.Most Listened To Artists:1. Dolly Rockers2. Adele3. Kelly Clarkson4. Brooke Hogan5. After a few listens, debut single "Je Suis Une Dolly" finally took hold of me and is fast becoming one
